With a growing demand in the development and realisation of housing in Europe, we cannot continue using mainstream materials which are infamous for their high CO2-emissions and unflexibility in circular use. The Exploded View is a showcase pavilion focussing on bio-based and circular material. A place to visit and experience what bio-based materials have to offer. The whole structure of the pavilion is based on the Respace system, including the newly engineerd CNC-milled roof structure. All the wooden elements have been coating to survive the Dutch rainfalls during its exhibition. The structure is set up in such a way that various bio-based materials could be showcase inside of it, representing facades, roofcladding, floor-systems and more. The Exploded View is also showcasing the endless, potential material streams available that are not yet being used in the construction world. The structure has been built up and showcased for a whole week at the Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven. After that it will be fully demounted and built up at the Floriade in Almere in 2022.
